I have tried many reef aquarium apps but I have found this one to be the best. I use it to track 5 tanks ( reef, FOWLR, hospital, quarantine, and frag). It meets all my needs and expectations of a tracking app. I highly recommend it

I have tried as many saltwater aquarium apps as I could find. There are many good apps, but they all lack a few or more important features. If you were to compile all of them into one app, you would have the perfect app!! AquaPlanner comes as close to that perfect app as possible. Its still not perfect, though. Its missing some of the customization you can do with some others. Its also missing some small niceties like the ability to specify quantity of maintenance items (I.e. You can create an alert to remind you to perform water changes, but you cant specify how many gallons, nor can you specify how many gallons you actually changed, which may not always be the same). I like to view the history logs to see when, what and how much I do of something. Regarding the lack of customization features. For example, you cant create your own creatures, coral or water / testing parameters. You have to use whatever is setup in the app already. This is something Id really love to see in a future release, as its the one thing I really miss. There are also a few small refinements needed, but they are not a big deal (cant skip an alert / maintenance item, you have to go in and edit the alert). As always, Id also like to see a trial version so people can try before you buy. I have this same complaint for many of the others as well. Some of these apps get pretty costly, and I really hate wasting money on an app only to discover it wont do what I need. In closing, AquaPlanner is the best app in its class so far. It has almost all of the features you want in an app. Its just missing the further refinement that comes with consistent use and good feedback from us customers. Jose has been very responsive and appreciative of all my comments and suggestions. I look forward to AquaPlanner truly being the best of the best in due time.

Constant crashing at startup. iCloud is the problem. What a joke

First, this app keeps me and my wife in the same page for EVERYTHING! Feeding schedules, maintenance schedules, etc. I deploy a lot and trust the tank to my wife, notifications keep her in top of perfect husbandry in my absence. I use the notes to keep timer settings, how-to instructions for mixing food/kalkwasser. I use the equipment list to help BRAG about my equipment. PROS: -installed on all iproducts and synced through cloud so everyone is updated with changes! -great way to create a schedule for tank babysitters! -keeps u reminded of EVERYTHING. CONS: - doesnt "share" equipment lists as suggested by "share" button. -Reports numbered badge reminders when there is nothing overdue. -Fails to update changes with scheduled reminders, which makes them pop up at wrong dates and times... -INhabitant library a bit limited. (Include common names and better search function, allow stock photos to help positively ID your creatures)

App still crashes, photos wont load, new look and calculator not worth all thats lost. This is the second upgrade, again lost all my photos after reloading. Now with this latest upgrade these issues have not been fixed. Going to use different app. This is third time Ive updated. Programer doesnt know what hes doing dont waste your time.

Helps me stay on top of those water changes, and the running cost feature is great too

I loved this app until about 3 months ago and now it is useless cannot get to my data stored in cloud or app crashes. They need to get this fixed and I will write a positive review. But until then this app is not worth a dime

I want to write a positive review but cant. Crashes when I go into my aquarium. I was diligently keeping my data for a year now I cant get to it. Please help!

Constantly crashes especially with pictures. Will not sync up to iCloud. Sry I spent the 2.99 on it

I would say I am "intermediate" in skill level when it comes to freshwater aquariums. However, through a few interesting quirks, I found myself with 4 going at a time (one 55 gallon, two 10 gallon, and one 5.5 gallon not to mention a 10 gallon of feeder shrimp). Now, I am a little forgetful sometimes, and unlike my cats , which loudly remind me of things, aquarium maintenance can be much easier to forget. If nothing else, being able to set up multiple aquariums with reminders was awesome. Being able to add the species, names and pictures? That just made it even better! I am very pleased with this app, and I would definitely recommend it!

This app has some good info for the aquarium enthusiast. Not geared for aquaponics type fish as I had hoped. The notification only shows up if you are looking in the app. Not really helpful if you have forgot to test or feed.

I tried many apps similar this before settling on aqua planner. The app works great and doesnt crash. It keeps track of all water test and custom alerts can be set up. With the pro version you can manage more than one aquarium. You can take pics of your aquarium and fish and manage them. Even tells you the costs of the tanks. Only thing I would think about adding is some water condition ranges for the specific species, so the user can look them up or add them in. Right now app only allows user to change water range for general freshwater or saltwater. It cant even customize it specific to the tank. Regardless, this app it still better than any other out there. 4/5.

Great app. Very easy to use, better functionality than other reef keeper apps at a great price.

App crashes 100% of the time. Completely unusable on IPad 3. Tried everything. Fix your app or remove it from the App Store. I want my money back.

Great app way better than writing down just need some more updating like in alk either in dkh or meq would be nice and look at species list

I have really enjoyed using this app to take good notes and keep test results for all 3 of my tanks. But… I have upgraded my phone and software and now this app crashes and freezes constantly!!! Im using pen and paper due to unknown reliability of this app now. Greatly in need of an update for the new software and hardware for Apple. Please hurry!!!

The app is great for storing data. But thats about it... The whole point of this app is to give you alerts to remind you to perform maintenance on your reef. And the alerts do not work at all. I have reported this issue several times and received very minimal correspondence from the developer... Do not waste your $$$ on this app. You can simply use Notes to store your data and setup Reminders to perform maintenance. This is a completely useless app...
